Ban question

This is odd, when playing in a room I see an option to ban a player in the pause menu. Should I be seeing this as a client? I'm not running any mods that would allow me to do this that I know of, only LevelMod.

Probably a glitch, have you been able to successfully ban someone during that glitch process?

it won't affect anyone anyway, however don't try to change map while you're client it's levemod menu, since we only hosting usually, we forgot to fix client menu in levelmod.

I actually tried it to see if it worked and when I did the player's name was removed from the player list and I never heard from him again. This appears to be a huge security problem Demo.

you can even ban host, go do this.

So does banning as client do anything? Block chats from someone?

host and other clients won't be affected in any way by your local actions. the only thing you screw by using this is your local game. if you'll "ban" everyone, there's a small chance that you'll crash.

Kind of sounds like the 'host options' mod. Which was only useful for uploading caps to the host player.
