will in be in quotes only?
or is there another arrow? the one isee redirects to the original post in the quotes.

what's the difference between the last post and the last new post in a thread?

Only if there are any new posts ofcourse.

@Zedd, the last post is the post at the very bottom of the thread. And with last new post I actually meant first unread post.

it happens even if there are unread posts...

Oh I see, it shows posts since last visits I guess, not unread posts.
