i guess it was a great idea lyst. the only problem concerning the classic tournament was about scheduling the matches. almost always failed.. here you just have be online and to play vs random players. that's great

Updated the minimum score calculations on the site, still busy on the player page. This should stimulate players to play more matches rather than sticking to their current good score.

Another 232 games have been played this month, meaning almost two third more matches were being played this month. The total number of games now is 374, played by 26 different players.

To prevent entering the top 5 by solely beating less good players, I will add a master group coming holidays. This means that the top 5 is determined by master points. The system in this group is very simple, if you win a game it's +1, if you lose it's -1, you can only earn these points by playing versus someone from the top 5 (perhaps for ctf top 8) Places 6-end will still be sorted by the regular points. Of course the players in the master group also receive normal points and can drop out of the group if someone else is entering the top 5. Their master pts will be saved for the next time that they enter the group.

I implemented the master group, so you can earn these points from now on.

Quick explanation on how it works:
- Best 5 overall players of the normal table are shown in the master group. These are sorted based on master points in stead of their regular won/played score. The rest of the ranking remains the same.
- When you are in the master group you can earn master points versus other players from this master group.
- If you win you'll get +1, if you'll lose you get -1.
- In 1vs1 CZ/CTF you can only earn points versus someone from the master group.
- In 2vs2 or more you can earn points versus the master group plus the numbers 6-8 of the normal ranking. All players should be in this top 8, otherwise no points will be rewarded.
- In TA, Graf, Slap, KOTH and KA you can play versus any player, all the players from the master group will be extracted and based on who's first and last in the extracted ranking, points will be awarded. First gets +1, last gets -1, and the rest gets 0.
Example:
Slap
1. Pinky
2. Faith
3. Lyst
4. Ownish
5. Rev,History
The players from the master group will be extracted:
1. Faith +1
2. Ownish +0
3. Rev, History -1
- The usual win/played points will also still be rewarded to these players
- When you drop out of the top 5, the master points will be saved for the next time you enter it. You can find them on the player page in the gold colored squares.
