Hey there
there are no tournaments at the moment, and maybe some people are interested in competitive games. Like I already posted in the THPS-area, I would like to try a little league-mode. This offers especially worse players to play more than one match in a tournament because you play against everyone in your group. Another good thing is that the number of players doenst matter at all, more people means more groups and/or less qualifiy-slots for the finals and via versa. à changed the rules a little, the tourney will be shorter because it´s just the first to try it Each player chooses 3 different levels, but they can be chosen doubled by both players. Example: Player A chooses Foundry, Rio and Suburbia, Player B chooses Canada, Suburbia and Tokyo. That´s okay, Suburbia will be played twice then. But Player A cannot choose Suburbia twice. Always the player who didnt choose the level is allowed to choose the team colour he wants to play. When there are 12 players there will be 3 groups with 4 people each. You have to play against everyone in your group once. The best 2 will qualify for the finals, additionally the 2 best 3rd placed will also qualify (so 8 people will qualify for the finals, there will be a normal knockout-system - the winner reaches the next round) In the league-system there a few rules: the winner gets 2 points, a draw (3:3) means 1 point for both, the loser gets no points. The order which decides the ranks are: Points and then the difference between won and lost games. Example: If there are 2 players with 4 points each, but Player A has 10:2 won games and Player B has 8:4 won games, Player A has the better rank. I would say the last day for signing up is the 5th of June, so you have enough time to think about it and maybe ask some players to join : You can find the results at http://www.th3-league.tk (alternative http://th3league.th.funpic.de/lmo.php if its not working). As already said the numbers of groups will depend on how many will participate So lets go and have fun. Deadline is the 21st of June! Those are in yet: 1. Kampfzwerg 2. Lyst 3. Zoe 4. S4L 5. Krea 6. Quote:Okay the rules are simple, each level CZ once, teams will change each level (who is blue first will be chosen randomly). That means 12 matches, the winner will get 2 points, the loser 0, tie means 1 point each. In the finals 6:6 would mean one level chosen by both players plus airport, best of 3 reaches next round. I don't get that either. But I will sign up anyway Yes, but why is the rum gone? |

Okay, to explain it easier, it´s a league system, not knockout. So if there are 12 players there will be 2 groups with 6 players each.
And in those groups everyone will play against everyone, so all players will have 5 matches. Winning 7 or more out of 12 levels means you won, so you get 2 points, 6:6 means draw, 1 point each, a loss means 0 points. The 4 best of each group will qualify for the finals, then it will be a normal knockout (loser out, winner is in the next round). The main advantage is that if you lose once in the group you still can play more games. So worse players can play more than just one match like usually in the knockout tourneys. |

Nah, I mean with this when there is the final round (when its knockout) and it is 6:6 in a match there will be 3 more games. Two will be chosen by each player and airport is the 3rd as most played level. So if its 6:6 in the quarter final or something you can choose a level, you opponent can choose a level, and you will play those 2 and airport, the player who wins 2 of this 3 wins the whole match.
I am not sure whether that are too many games, maybe we should decrease the number of levels per match or less players in a group? |

I'd go for 4 max per group
because 6 per group means 15 matches per group. Yes, but why is the rum gone? |
