Either I get thps3 to work on my laptop (which has vista), or I won't be online again until December. I know some of you have vista so have you had to solve any problems?? I remember vadru getting vista ages ago, but it pissed him off so much he went back to XP.
I could just download a cracked version of Windows XP or 7 but I really want to try and avoid that. It's one thing illegally downloading a program but an operating system just frightens me, If I did something wrong or got a crappy version I could fuck up my new laptop, which I'm not going to let happen. HELP. (N) Btw it worked ok (kinda) until I installed defmod, then thps3 just wouldn't load at all. Then I got rid of defmod and it still won't load at all. QUAK. |

Have you tried to change that your firewall may be blocking thps? To check, go to security center (I don't know if it's the same translation, my os is dutch), click on windows firewall on upper left corner and then click on change settings. Click on the second tab, called exceptions (I don't know if it's the same translation, my os is dutch). You could try adding both defmod3 and thps3 to the exceptions list. I know this is necesary to be able to host, Im not sure if this will fix your problem but it's worth a shot. Gl

They always exclude the common problems with laptops, so insurance isn't really helpful (only theft insurance). Besides I think it's ok to use XP on laptops, since microsoft even offers downgrade services until 2011 i think. How does not load look like? Black screen? nothing happens? Yes, but why is the rum gone? |

I click thps3 icon ->
Screen goes black -> THPS3 Loading Screen Shows up -> I get a message saying: THPS3PC has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. QUAK. |

Ask microsoft support or update Vista. I don't know if Vista shows that message too, but it may be possible to send the "problems" to microsoft.
I found this in the net: Rightclick on the .exe file and change settings to: Windows XP. Anyways: Google is your friend! |

Yes, it should be Skate3.exe.
I don't know if it works and don't know if there's a setting like this. |
