Huge problem capping on thps4?

Hey. I've been making a new nm these past few weeks, and I'm about done with it, so went ahead and tried capping... but I'm getting HUGE lag for no reason. no matter what I do in the settings it stays at 13-14 fps . I can cap thug2 at 60fps or even th3 with no problem :/ Anyone have any suggestions? I'll never be able to release it if it doesn't work.

idk but u should ask crazy i think he should know sthin, he once told me sthin weird bout thps4 and its fps but i cant remember it

I was told it's because of the very shitty pc port of thps4. I'll try to find a solution hopefully.

The funny thing with FPS was that the game is capped at 120fps and gives more base points for grabs the more FPS you get. So at 120FPS you are getting up to double the base score as a ps2 player doing the same line.

Anyways that doesn't help you much Tongue

. Make sure AA\AF is forced off in your video card settings, and try alt tabbing after loading the game, then restarting fraps.

Yeah I managed to get it up to where it's playable, but I have to be in 640 x 480. oh well. Thanks guys

Whats your PC specs? You shouldn't have to play at 640x480, most computers should cap alright at 1024x768 these days.

I'll try THPS4 later on mine, which is pretty good.

That's the whole weird thing man. I can cap 60fps THUG2 or most games these days at max graphics. There is no reason I shouldn't be able to cap THPS4 at 60fps.
Weird thing? Even at 640 if I enable AA it still crawls down to a 12-13 fps. which makes no sense as it does EVEN IN THE MENU

Well, I just installed THPS4 and it's lagging a bit without FRAPS even.

I have a 6 core Intel i7 970, 6gb RAM, and two 5870 video cards Closedeyes

Maybe the game is just gay?
