Never, ever get a laptop with 2 USB ports, USB hubs work terrible.
I'd go for at least 4, since you need to connect your: 1. Mouse 2. Keyboard 3. Maybe external hdd 4. Always good to have a free USB And I don't know your budget, but the dell latitude series is pretty good also. Yes, but why is the rum gone? |

tasty Wrote:I say: Dell Studio 17 Laptop It's the least small and compact, It has 4 USB ports But ty for your opinion anyway. My pc only has four at the moment and that's fine; Mouse, External HDD, And any old flash drives or camera/phone cables that are hanging around. I might just buy a cheap USB dock to shove the cables into when I don't need them : QUAK. |

Yeah but half the devices I use do not work correctly through a usb hub, and your normal pc has ps2 ports for kb/mouse while most laptops don't have that. Oh and the batteries should last for 5-7 hours, cuz that will decrease till half of it after 2 years of usage.

Ouch.
Btw these are my current PC specs, so you'll see why I need something new: NEC (weird french company), it was bought in 2002. AMD Sempron 2400+ 1.66GHz 512MB of RAM 80GB HDD My download and upload rates are debatable, different sites say completely different things when I test it. But for the past few days uTorrent has been going fairly constantly at 2.3KB/s. Occasionally it hits 25KB/s, and once in a blue moon it peaks at 110KB/s, never above. Upload never goes above 32KB/s. Yeah I'll never be able to play on this keyboard, i'll have to buy an external one if I want to continue thps3.
I have a wireless router, and within 5 minutes of turning the VAIO on I was connected to it (I have no knowledge of wireless networking at all). Now I'm sitting in the other room watching a game of tennis while typing this on my lap. I LOVE THIS!! QUAK. |
